A motorhome in the mountains

RAMBO, ROADS & ROCKIES
The short cut had seemed like a good idea at the time, but now it had become all shades of bad. The dirt track was getting even steeper and narrower. I could feel the sheer drop clawing at my outside wheels.
To make things worse, I was driving a beast of a motorhome. The rattling of its massive frame shook my adrenaline-swamped brain, its engine screamed.
Turning around would have involved plunging to an ugly death in a pretty forest.
The only way was up. And when up was no longer an option, it meant it was time to go down.

THE BENEFITS OF BEING JET-LAGGED
The UK is a world away from British Columbia. Well, about half a world really. The thing is, it only takes about 10 hours to fly there, as you go over the world, rather than around it (up via Greenland, then down to the West Coast).
This of course plays havoc with your body clock. With the time difference being -8 hours that of the Britain, you arrive just under two hours after you leave.
I got to my hotel at dusk, but it wasn't far off dawn in London. I tried staying awake, I really did, but by 10:30pm I was out cold.
